ITL announce launch of SS700 gearbox  ITL are pleased to announce the launch of their new SS700 synchro-shuttle gearbox. Building on the success of their SS600, this new variant offers new features and refinements to benefit customers.As with the new powershift transmissions, the SS700 offers a co-axial pump drive. An SAE B pump mounting is offered to suit most customer requirements. This allows for improved machine packaging, giving a more compact machine hydraulic system. Shaft bearings, together with the forward / reverse clutches have been uprated to give increased durability, and allow an increase in input torque to 750Nm. Reconfigured synchronisers have improved both gear selection and shift quality to new levels. The SS700 has spring applied and hydraulically applied 4-wheel drive available, with control via a solenoid valve. This can be linked to the machine electronics, to give braking, in both 2- and 4-wheel drive. Forward / reverse shuttling is electro-hydraulically controlled via solenoid valves that now feature I.P.69 connectors for increased environmental protection. Typical applications are: backhoe loaders, dumper trucks, crop sprayers, telehandlers, mobile cranes, aircraft tow tugs, baggage handling equipment, agricultural tractors, articulated loading shovels, rough-terrain forklifts and cement mixers, to name but a few.
