The SS620 range of transmissions combines on the move fast, easily operated electro/hydraulic direction control with 4-speed mechanical gearshifting using proven technology and well established design principles. These units achieve high standards in earthmover and on/off road transmissions reliability. The reversing shuttle, for example, uses multi-disc hydraulic clutch packs to achieve direction changeover simply by locking helical gears to the input shaft - avoiding the complexity of epicyclical gearing. A 'split' layshaft/mainshaft arrangement keeps the drivetrain clusters tidily around the shuttle, economising on interior space and keeping the gearsize to a minimum.

Electro/hydraulic actuaction of the reversing shuttle means that in-cab control can be positioned wherever it is most convenient.

This transmissions has a matching transfer dropbox which is compatible with ITL's comprehensive range of axles to provide 4WD capability.
